-Relevant groups begin tonight for high school youthgroup…
and make sure to make it to your group for some in-depth readings, discussion, and prayer time…and i’m sure there’ll be some fun pastries or snacks as well…maybe even some coffee if we’re lucky.
And a quick note…: For anyone who is either working with powerpoint, sound, playing, or singing, you MUST attend a Relevant group to join us on the platform for Sunday Nights.
The reason for this is simple. All of us on the platform are worship LEADERS, we are all leading others into the presence of God simply by bringing our talents before the Lord as our spiritual act of worship. As worship leaders, we must be accountable, especially when we’re in front of others bringing others into the presence of God. If we’re not living out our faith and sincerely working on our own walk with God, then as we lead others to Christ with worship, those who know what is done outside of church are not effectively being led. Plus, we’re cheating ourselves. I struggle with this daily…my own actions don’t match up with my talk…But it’s something to strive for. We’re all human. But those that are deliberately seeking after God are progressing and trying to become closer to God through not only worship but through all aspects of life.
Relevant groups will help us apply our faith, discuss our faith, and dig in deeper within scripture and scriptures. It’ll only help to go and make our faith a working breathing thing rather than a dead philosophy that never leaves the pews.

keep in your prayers as I start a new job this week at “Pa-nae-nae” as I call it…aka- Panera and my band Happy Go Lovely is recording our 5-song EP this week and are practicing massive amounts in preparation for our show on the 26th, and then the 1st of November. Keep us in your prayers!

Hoo hah!
As it seems that this blogusphere has taken somewhat of a back seat in the last couple of months due to lack of time, lack of interest, and lack of reason….Altogether forming the ultimate reasons to simply forget about this place and continue facebookng and myspacing with the occasional virb action.
But in light of the new position as the formal “youth worship leader” rather than a volunteer worship leader…which the only thing differentiating between the two is a few pennies and a list of do’s and dont’s…but hey, i can’t complain at all. But like I was saying, in light of the “upgrade”, if you will, that I have gotten with the worship leader thing, I’ve decided to weekly update the blog with the song titles and the weekly rotations for both Middle School and High School worship teams. I’ll be sure to include practice times as well.
